Future Mustang

I went with mommy and daddy to Dallas, Texas this past weekend. It was so cool - I've never been to Dallas before! As a special treat one afternoon, mommy and daddy took me to SMU where they went to college. It was really pretty and because it was SO hot outside (103 degrees), they let me play around in the fountain on campus. I know its a bit early to start thinking about my college choices, but SMU was so awesome that I think I'll have to apply there in about 16 years!

Dancing Queen

When we got home from a trip to the splash pool the other day, daddy turned on the TV and the movie "Walk the Line" was on. I had never seen it before, but I sure did like the music! As soon as I heard the singing, I started dancing my little wet tail end off! Mommy managed to capture a little bit of it on video.

Goodbye, Mullet

Mommy and daddy took me to get my hair cut. Mommy only wanted me to get my bangs trimmed so my hair will keep growing in back, but daddy and the hairstylist broke the news to mommy: I had a mullet. (Isn't it amazing that mommies truly are blinded by love?? She was in denial about what was right in front of her face!)

When she "saw the light," mommy immediately agreed to get all my hairs cut. The result is a cute little bob, layered in back, that I'm very proud of. Goodbye mullet...hello cutie!!!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today was my daddy's 30th birthday. Mommy has been helping me practice saying "Happy Birthday Daddy" and I did a pretty good job today telling him.

Daddy - you are the center of my world. I love you very much!!

Tennis Lesson

I had my first tennis lesson with daddy and papa at Nana's house last week. Call them biased, but they think I might have a future in tennis! Click here to see my skills!

Visiting Friends

When I was back in Chicago I got to see some of my old pals. Above are a couple pictures of me with Tyler and Shannon Burton (including one of me and Tyler watching Elmo together). I also got together with all the kids from mommy and daddy's small group, but mommy didn't get her camera out until almost everyone had left, so I only managed to get a picture with Autumn and Ashlyn Riddle to document that playdate. But it was so fun seeing Nathan, Reagan, Camryn, Tyler and Callie as well!

Walks with Nana

One of my favorite things to do when I'm at Nana and Papa's house is to walk the property with them. They have a really big yard with lots of grass, trees, flowers, a lake, and even a big sandbox (although mommy calls it a sand volleyball court??). Here's a couple shots of me and Nana spending our special time together. I also went on many walks with Papa, but mommy was never around to take a picture of our adventures.

Dancing Queen

I loved showing off my dancing skills at Nathan and Sonya's party. There were a few singers, lots of instruments, and the music was fast and loud! I LOVED it! Here are a few pictures of me dancing with daddy, papa, and the happy couple!

Party Time

The reason we went to Chicago last weekend was for a special party for Uncle Nathan and Aunt Sonya. Since they got married so far away in Mexico, Nana and Papa had a party at their house to celebrate the wedding with their Chicago friends. I was just excited to wear the pretty dress that Nana found just for this occasion. Didn't my Nana do the best job setting up a pretty party? Everyone was in awe, even me!

Chicago

I've been in Chicago at Nana and Papa's house for the past week. Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, but I was too busy there to stop and use the computer. Plus my blogging assistant (mom) was sick with the flu most of the time.

I'll post more soon about all the fun things I did in Chicago, but here's a couple pictures to show you how pretty it was at Nana's house.
