And Then There Were Two...

My days of being the center of attention are drawing to a close. On September 5th, I will assume a new role: that of a big sister!

My Motto? Anything Can Be Accessorized!

My mommy got a purse hanger and a new keychain for her birthday from Aunt Sonya and Uncle Nathan. I quickly got ahold of both of these things and fashioned them into an accessory. What a fashionista!

Oh By the Way...

I know mommy and daddy waited awhile (sigh), but guess where I'm sleeping now??

It was worth the wait. Despite my parents hearing many horror stories and warnings, I've adjusted perfectly to my new bed and don't get out until mom and dad come into the room. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my bed and never resist a naptime or bedtime :)

3 Year Stats

I headed to the doctor last week for my 3 year well check. Mommy was super excited to go since my last well-check was when I turned two. I have to admit that I was a total DOLL at the appointment...was charming the heck out of the nurses (little do they know what a rascal I can be!) and at one point had a whole crowd of them around me. I took my pal "Piggy Pig" with me, and he did all the things I did. When Dr. Kono finally came in, he said "you've got this whole office buzzing about how hilarious you are, little one."

So it turns out I'm doing great for my age. Apparently I am highly verbal (surprise!) and Dr. Kono says I conceptualize beyond my age (whatever that means!). I am...drumroll please... 70% for weight (33lbs) and 90% for height (39in). No shots this visit, which was a bonus! Upon the completion of my appointment, I left with two new necklaces from the nurses, plus a sucker from Dr. Kono. I think I like it there!

Actual Birthday (or was it?)

Okay...so I just found out that we celebrated my actual birthday a day late because I was so sick on my birthday. To be fair, I was sick for 5 days that week, so even when we did celebrate it was a bit subdued, but waiting a day gave me a bit more time to feel better and get out of bed. I had fun opening my presents (exclaiming "oh my God!!!" all the time, much to mom's horror) and did MUCH better with the Happy Birthday song when it was just sung by mommy and daddy.

(PS - How cute is the new hat that my Grandma Kay knit me??)

Cutie Patootie

Mom got some great pictures of me before my big birthday bash. I was in full cutie-pie mode!

Its My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To....

A few days prior to my actual birthday, I had an awesome birthday party for my friends. I co-hosted it with my (boy)friend Cole, because our birthdays are only a week apart. We had the party at our fave hangout, Little Monkey Bizness.

I had a BLAST running around and doing the bouncy houses, etc, for the first hour. I was a bit upset when we had to move to the "party room" to have pizza and cake. I did okay in there, but when the singing started, I had a pretty big meltdown. Not sure why - I think I just got scared to be the center of attention or something. But Cole was brave and held up his end of the deal.

Overall my party was AWESOME and I'm very thankful for all my friends who could come!

3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday to me! Unfortunately I woke up today with a 102 degree fever, so I'm stuck at home in bed instead of celebrating with my pals today like I had planned. But fear not: mommy is pampering me and at 9:15am, I'm already watching The Little Mermaid for the 2nd time! This birthday isn't too bad!

When I'm feeling more up to it, I'll get back on and post about the fun birthday party I had last weekend. Until then, Happy Birthday to Me!

First Concert Tee

For a fundraiser for the preschool I attend (its part of a larger private K-8 school), this spring our school & church will host Chris Tomlin live in concert. All of the students at Cherry Hills were given these cool t-shirts, and today the entire school was wearing them on the same day. Mom choked up seeing me in my first (of many, I'm sure!) concert t-shirts and had to get a snapshot.

Good thing I write this blog, because if mommy did, surely she wouldn't mention how JEALOUS she is that I get a Chris Tomlin shirt and she doesn't. But I do have to admit, in all fairness, her and daddy have been fans for a lot longer than I have :)
