Who is the Cutest of them All?

Hard to decide, isn't it, with daddy and all my cute uncles around me? You can tell I just hate being around all these boys!!

My Nana and Me

How cool do Nana and I look, sitting by the pool last weekend in California?

Funny Faces

Uncle Nathan and I compete to see who can make the creepiest face. I think Uncle Nathan wins!

Surprise, Papa!!

This past weekend I got to go with Daddy's whole side of the family to Santa Barbara, California to surprise Papa for his 60th birthday. It was so much fun! I got to play with farm animals, go on a hayride, go swimming, and spent LOTS of time following my uncles around being goofy with them. I even visited my first winery, although mommy only let me drink water. We stayed at a placed called the Alisal Ranch and it was super cool. Hopefully someday I can go back!

Carve 'em Up!

Getting ready to carve

Daddy trying to convince me to "dig in"

Now THIS I can handle!

Carving with Mommy

Making a silly face right back at that pumpkin.

I'm not sure what to think about my first experience carving pumpkins. I really wasn't sure at first how I felt about that squishy inside of a pumpkin (after all, I am a girly girl and don't like gross things!), but soon enough I found an activity that kept me busy for a good 20 minutes: running my hands in the slippery pumpkin seed bowl.

As you can see in the video below, my first moments of carving I wasn't too enthralled with it.

PumpkinFest

With Mimi and Great Grandma Shirley

Bouncin Along

Ring Toss

Waving Hello to the Tall Scarecrow with Uncle Andrew

Did I mention I was the only one brave enough to TOUCH this goat?

I sure did have a fun weekend! My Grandma Mary (a.k.a. "Mimi"), Great Grandma Shirley, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Maggie were all in town. On Saturday we drove down to a big Halloween festival and I had so much fun! I got to go down huge slides, bounce in a fun jumper, play fun games and go to a petting zoo. But the coolest story was that mommy met and talked to Shawn Bradley, who is the 2nd tallest player ever to play in the NBA. At 7 ft 6 inches, he TOWERED over mommy. I heard Uncle Andrew got a picture of it, so when I can track it down I'll be sure to post it on my blog for everyone to see.

Next Step: Driving

Since I've accomplished every single way to zoom around and make my parents run after me, I thought I'd give the car a try this weekend. I'll be applying for my learner's permit soon.

Wee Squeak

Mommy got me these supercool new Mary Jane shoes last week. They have these little squeakers in them that make cute noises every time I take a step. When I put them on, I just move my little feet as fast as I can - very fun. Here's a video of me and my "happy feet".... Oh, and don't worry...the squeakers pull out easily so mommy and daddy don't have to get tooo annoyed by them.

SeeSA, LeeSA, MelissSA

My aunt Lisa came into town to visit last weekend. When I was first learning to talk, everyone taught me to just shorten her name to 'Sa, which suited me just fine. Now that I'm older (and smarter), I've found that many variations of the name Lisa can be said, and just by emphasizing the 'SA in what I'm saying, it still means Lisa! So this weekend, Lisa went by 'Sa, SeeSa, Leesa, and (my favorite), MelisSA. It was all the same to me!

We had so much fun together and Lisa even bought me the coolest moose up in Park City. We also went to Gardner Village and saw all the stuffed witches on display...I was WAY interested in them!

The only downside was that I got a pretty nasty cold on Friday and Saturday and wasn't quite my cheerful, delightful self.

SeeSA...I hope you come back soon! I love you!

A Dose of Silly for your Friday

Emery and I tend to get pretty silly when we are around each other. The other day when Jay was driving mommy and me to the airport in Denver, Jay and mommy suddenly heard me and Emery laughing like crazy in the backseat. Luckily mom had her camera in her purse to capture our silliness. Don't worry if you don't get it, either... its an inside joke between Emery and I.

Here's your dose of Friday silliness, compliments of me and Em!! LINK

Adventures in Food

Lately I'm obsessed with mustard and black beans. I could eat them at every meal. Too bad I get a tad messy when eat them.

Farewell, Hawaii

Well, my first trip to Hawaii was awesome. Thanks to the Mikulas for inviting me, mommy and daddy to vacation with them. I sure hope that I can go back soon... And given how incredibly good I was on both 7-hour flights, mommy and daddy might just consider it!!

Photo Ops

We tried our best to get good family pictures when we were in Hawaii. I got a little sick of being asked to say "cheese", but I think we got some good ones. And me and Emery both behaved when it came time to the group picture, to the delight of our parents!

Best Buds

I adore my daddy more than anyone in the world. Hawaii gave us some great photo ops.

Speaking of dads, how cute is this picture of the Jay and Daddy with Emery and I?

What do YOU think?

When people see mommy, the first thing they ask is "did Lauren have fun in Hawaii?". If only she could show them these pictures...they'd know the answer without mommy saying a word! (Sometimes I even had fun with little people I don't know!)
