Playing Around

One of the things mommy likes most about living in Colorado is that we don't have to sit inside all winter and spring. Here are brother and I goofing around and having fun at the park the other day.

And then there were 3....

I'm proud to announce the arrival of my newest baby brother.... William David. Will was born on March 10, 2012 at 2:27pm. He was 8 lbs, 8 oz and 21 inches long. He's a little cutie pie and me and Luke have welcomed him into the family with open arms (and lots of nuzzles and kisses)! We are all doing great and loving having a new baby in the house... mommy isn't sleeping much so some days she's a little grouchy, but Will is very worth it!!

Sorry the update is so late, but we've been busy around here! (Did I mention we moved to a new house one week before Will came? That's another story altogether!!)

Five

I had a great 5th birthday! First, mommy got a babysitter for Luke so that we could have a day of fun together, just us girls. She had a bunch of surprises for me. First, we went to a bead shop where I got to make my very own necklace. It was SO much fun!

Next was a trip to the nail salon so I could get a pedicure. I enjoyed every minute.

Lastly, momma surprised me by taking me to the movie theatre to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. We had the whole entire theatre to ourselves so we got to sing and dance as much as we wanted. So fun!

My birthday party followed a week later, once again shared this year with my buddy Cole and held at Monkey Bizness. Momma forgot the memory card for the camera (!!) so only have one picture that she took with her cell phone, but it was a great time and I was quite happy being the center of attention, as you can see!

Life as I Know It

Sorry I haven't posted much lately...I've been a very busy girl! I thought I'd check in and post an update before things get really crazy around here with the new baby!

LIFE:
- We moved into a new house a few weeks ago. I really like it here...my new room is super cool AND I get to share a bathroom with brother which is super fun. We live just a few doors down from where I will be in school next year, which is fun. I like watching the kids come and go every day, and ask momma almost every day when I can go to kindergarden.
-Daddy is enjoying his new job. Did I tell you that he bought a company and is now working far away? (Momma says its called Colorado Springs. Where is that?) He is gone more than he used to be, and he's very very busy, but he is really happy and I'm proud of daddy.
- Mommy has been busy working on a big event through her MOPS group at church, and also still working at Plum District. Plus she's always on the phone with Ms. Sarah, our relator, working on some aspect of our move or the sale of our old house. Speaking of momma and the word house, she is almost ready to pop! Due any day now with my little brother/sister, she's looking BIG with that belly.

As you can tell, our family has been really busy!

LUKE: Luke is the best little brother in the world, even though lately we have begun fighting over toys and bickering a little bit. He is the funniest boy and the biggest change is that he is talking, talking, talking. He likes to say ANYTHING I ask him to say. He has so many words compared to even a month ago! I tell him all the time I am so proud of him. At his 15 month appointment (which was actually more like 16 months) he was 31 1/4in (60%) for height and 20lbs5oz (3%) for weight. My little string bean!! He's fast fast fast...on the move and ALWAYS getting into things. He certainly keeps mama busy!!!!

ME: I've been busy too! In addition to being in PreK, I am enjoying ballet every week and also am starting up spring soccer soon. I still nap most days (!!) but make up for that by waking up at the crack of dawn each day (usually 6am), much to mommy's dismay. I have so many friends at school and am quite the social butterfly, walking through the hallways waving and calling out to friends in all different classes. Momma doesn't quite understand how I know all these kids, but I do! I had my 5 year appointment a couple weeks ago... I'm 44 1/4 inches tall (85%) and 43lbs (75%).... I continue to be a big girl! The lowlight of my dr appointment was getting 4 shots at the end... I was so brave for the first 2, but the second 2 put me over the edge. I now like to play pretend with mommy that she's at the dr and needs shots...and told her the other day "Now this one's gonna hurt...its the MMR shot. (guess who is ALWAYS listening to momma's conversations?)

I'm sure I'll be back posting soon about my new brother or sister's arrival. We are ready to go and just waiting for more fun (and chaos) to arrive in our house!

Ski School

After my successful skiing attempt in Aspen, momma signed me up for a 4-week ski school course up at Copper Mountain. I skied every Thursday afternoon in the month of January with one of my best friends, Kenzie. Overall it was a good experience. I am getting more comfortable on skis and can ski and turn by myself, although I tend to favor my left side. But I have many more years to improve.... momma and daddy were just happy to have me get some experience this year!

Ahhhhspen

During the week between Christmas and New Years, momma packed up the car and took me and Luke up to Aspen for a fun filled week. Highlights of the week included a nightly performance (starring myself, with Luke and Ryder as my co-horts), hanging out in downtown Aspen, and my first ever experience going to ski school! I LOVED ski school and have been begging to go back.

Unfortunately, we had another "first" on this trip: Luke's first trip to the ER. It was just for an ear infection and high fever, but the nearest Urgent Care was almost 45 minutes away so we just ran down the road to Aspen Valley Hospital instead. Aunt Lisa is an ER nurse there so we were treated like royalty...and this little guy was a real champ :)
