The COOLEST thing happened to me after school the other day. In honor of my first day of school, mommy took me on a lunch date to Wendy's after she picked me up. We were eating our lunches when some police officers came and sat behind us. I was SO excited they were there...and proceeded to turn around and stare at them every 3 minutes. One of them started talking to me and gave me my very own sticker. I was beside myself...so proud of what they gave me. I told mommy "We have to call daddy...he'll just die, momma!"
I think this particular sticker will be saved for a long time!

Well, today was my first day of preschool for 2010! My teacher this year is Mrs. Hayes and my day is a little shorter this year. I will be going Mon/Wed/Friday from 8:30-11:30am. I'm excited for a great year and dropoff today was painless - - I'm a big girl now so no tears or being scared for me. I jumped right in and waved goodbye to mom!
Mommy says now she can have the baby...she was waiting for my first day of school and didn't want to miss it...now she's ready to meet the newest member of our family (and so am I!)

My Grandpa Bill and Grandma Kay came in town last weekend and brought Kay's grandkids with them on the trip. I had met Audrey and Simone before, but this trip was an extra special bonding experience. We share a love of dress up, barbies, playing house, making a mess, swimming, and playing pretend. Most importantly, Audrey (or Auds, as I called her) was my pretend "mommy" all weekend. She loved her role as much as I loved mine. We had SO much fun and were so busy that the adults barely managed to get a picture of us together, but luckily they got a couple before we dove into the pool one day.

Outside of swimming, my favorite summer activity is going to the park. I recently went with my buddy Ashleigh to our favorite park in Highlands Ranch which has a "river" (I overheard mommy say its a fake river, that's why we get to play in it!) and two splash pads to play in. I'm partial to the splash pads... and happy to ham it up for the camera during my fun!

A couple weekends ago daddy took me on an awesome bike ride in the mountains. He rented a bike up in Keystone, stuck me in atrailer behind it and we rode for a couple hours. Mommy was thrilled that he actually took out the camera she packed for him to document the trip. Here's a couple shots he got!

One of daddy's clients owns his own collection of vintage firetrucks, and so daddy took me the other day to see them and get my own private tour and ride on a firetruck. I was a little apprehensive at first but it didn't take me long to explore everything, and soon and I was a busy girl turning on the lights and sirens and honking the horn. I even put on a little firefighter's jacket! Of course I kept my sparkle shoes on - a girl's gotta have style, even on a firetruck :)
