Welcome Jacob Walker

One of my bff's, Cole (who I had my birthday party with) just a became a big brother for the 2nd time around. I got to go visit Ms. Brandi and little Jake Walker in the hospital this week. I was VERY attentive to the baby and very curious as to all things Jake-related. Mom was happy because Ms. Brandi delivered at the same hospital she will, so we got to explore the maternity floor and get familiar with everything before my little brother or sister arrives!

Fast Learner

June 16th:

June 22nd:

Not bad progress in less than a week! And to think...I'm a "swim school dropout" because my teacher wanted to put me in the 1-year-old class :)

Fish Out of Water

We try to make it to the pool a few times a week. Mommy invested in swim lessons for me...and then saw that the most progress I've made all summer was when I met a new friend "Lily" at the pool. She is 4 years old and does all sorts of stuff...after imitating her for an hour, I was fully proficient and jumping in ALL by myself, and also going completely underwater. Those swim lessons were a waste of time! I just needed Lily!

Fathers Day

Yesterday was fathers day, and I had a great time making daddy feel special. We went to church, brunch, and then had a yummy family dinner at home. Daddy is my BEST friend...I adore him the most and tell him almost daily that I want to marry him. I can't imagine loving anyone more than I love my daddy! (Happy Fathers Day also to the other men in my life: Papa, Grandpa Bill, and Pa)

Gymnastics

This past week I celebrated the 1-year mark of being in my gymnastics class. I now take my classes on my own while my mommy waits in the lobby. I love my teachers (and tend to talk their ears off!) and always have such a fun time in class. Today mom snuck in some shots of me doing my thing!

Butterfly Pavilion

Last weekend my Aunt Sonya took me on a special auntie-niece outing to the Butterfly Pavilion here in Denver. I came home raving about all the butterflies I got to hold, plus I even got to have lunch at McDonalds! I can't wait for my next girl's day with Aunt Sonya!

A Riddle

How do you keep two 3-year olds happy and entertained during a grocery shopping trip to Target? One word: ICEE. As evidenced by me and my buddy Cole, if you provide us an Icee, we are thrilled to participate in any activity, even grocery shopping!!

My Buddy and Me

My BEST FRIEND at preschool this year was Sidney. All year long, all I talked about was "Sid" - - when mommy would ask who I played with at school, or who I had lunch with, or who I had fun with, the answer was always Sidney.

I haven't seen Sidney since school got out last month because our mommies have been so busy, but they finally found time to get together yesterday. We both screamed each other's names and gave each other big hugs...and then immediately proceeded to put on "princess clothes" and play gleefully for a couple hours. Reunited, and it felt so good!!!

Grandma and Grandpa

I really enjoyed seeing my Grandpa Bill and Grandma Kay last week. They were in town for Ryder's dedication and I got to spend a few days bonding with them. Even though I only see them a few times a year, I'm very attached to Grandma and Grandpa and I am glued to them when we are together. They are visiting again in a couple months and I can't wait!

Last Day of School

Last Monday was my last day of preschool for the year. It went by sooo fast! Mommy kept saying it felt like just yesterday she was dropping me off on my first day of school...and now its 9 months later and school's out for the summer. I learned SO much this year and blossomed in so many ways, especially in my interactions with others and what I know about God and Jesus. It was a great year and I will miss my awesome teachers, Miss Sandy and Miss Sofia!

Ahhhhh-spen

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Mommy lost her camera so I didn't want to post until she found it. Luckily that day was today! Phew!

A couple weekends ago I headed up to Aspen to visit Aunt Lisa, Uncle Andy and my cousin Ryder. Ryder was being dedicated at his church so we headed up for the weekend. We did lots of fun things, including a nice hike along a wide river. I loved bonding with Ryder and can't wait until our next visit to Ahhhhhspen!
