Elitch Gardens

Daddy got some free tickets to Elitch Gardens, the amusement park here in Denver, and our little family made the trip downtown over the weekend to check it out. My best friend Ashleigh and her family came with us, and boy did we have fun! I had a BLAST on all the rides, and mommy and daddy even got to ride a huge roller coaster that was just for adults. We had an awesome time, and mommy even got this hilarious video of us. I'm already begging to go back!

Luke Update

I'm sure a few of you are wondering how little Luke is doing. He's great! According to what I overhear from mommy, Luke is an awesome baby and our whole family is adjusting really well to baby brother being in the house. Mostly Luke sleeps during the day, and he's even sleeping quite well at night. Mommy is tired but not TOO crabby with me, which is a relief :) I am still quite obsessed with kissing and loving on Luke, and my favorite thing to say is, when Luke sneezes, "Bless you, little buddy!"

Cousin Anna

My Aunt Laura and cousin Anna came to Denver last week to visit me. (well, they MAY have been here to visit Luke, but I prefer to think of myself as the reason they hopped on a plane and flew out here). I am only 6 months older than Anna so it was super fun for mom and Aunt Laura to see us play together. We were like sisters... happy and playing most of the time, mixed in with some catfights and tears...mostly over not wanting to share or someone not being nice. It was so fun to have them here and I can't wait until Anna and I are reunited. Mom is STILL kicking herself that she didn't get a picture of the 4 of us...but at least she got some good ones of me and
Anna!

Luke Update

As I mentioned a few days ago, I'm loving my new brother. He is a great baby and has been a great addition to our home. He sleeps alot and goes with me and mommy everywhere...he's pretty low maintenance so far! Mom and dad think that Luke looks alot how I did as a baby. Here are a few pictures of my brother. Future Soccer Star

I had my first soccer practice last weekend.... Mom was bursting with pride at how great I was. Not to mention how adorable I looked in my shinguards and knee socks! I LOVE soccer and I think I'll follow in mommy's footsteps :)

Doctor, Doctor

Today I tagged along with Luke and mommy for Luke's 2-week appointment. He did awesome and the nurse even let me help with everything! I was quite proud of him. He's now 9lbs 6oz and 21.5 in long (70% for both). At the end of the appointment, mimi and I decided to get our flu shots together. I held Mimi's hand so she wouldn't cry, and for my turn I was SO brave with my shot and didn't even cry either! A successful appointment all around!

"Precious to my Heart"

I am SUCH an awesome big sister and I am loving having my baby brother around! I love kissing on my brother, rocking him, holding him. In general, I just want to be near him all the time! Here are some of the favorite things I've said in front of mommy:

"Hey, little buddy! Big sister loves you!"
"Shh...its okay Luke. Big sister is here. Shh"
"Mommy, I'm SO happy that my brother isn't in your belly anymore."
"I love my brother. He's precious to my heart."
