Change of Direction
Who cares that a few days ago I was enjoying sunshine and swimming in the pool? Now I'm back in Denver and had SO much fun enjoying the results of our big snowstorm from last week. The snow here only sticks around a couple days (literally, our 10 inches on Thursday is totally gone by today!) so mommy and daddy got to take me sledding for the first time this winter (I told you Denver is warm!) I had lots of fun but mostly enjoyed eating the snow. We also built the COOLEST snowman in our backyard but mommy's pictures got erased (she's heartbroken).

California Dreamin' on a Winter Day
As there is a blizzard outside in Denver today, I'm taking a minute to think about my 2nd annual trek to Palm Desert. I had so much fun in California, but the trip went soo quickly!! I was a great girl and was so flexible with the many hours spent traveling, new sleeping arrangements and new environment (being in a non-babyproofed house always causes mom a bit of extra stress).
I loved swimming every day, spent hours playing in the grass behind the house, and spent even MORE time finding pebbles, rocks, leaves and flowers and moving them among my various tupperware buckets. I was a busy girl.
I really started putting together more full sentences this week, like: "Mommy, what's that noise coming from?" and "Where did the birdies go Dad?" But the best moment of the trip was when I was eating dinner one night and my Pa walked out of his room with a nice outfit on ready to go out to dinner. I was facing him when he walked thru the door (noone else was) and the moment he walked out, I shouted (completely unprovoked) "Wow! You look GREAT, Pa!!!" Everyone got a good laugh out of that one.
I wanted to show off more pictures from the trip, including a four-generation picture of me, mommy, Mimi and Grandma Shirley.

California Girl
Boy do I love California!! I was here last year (I actually took my first steps here), but I don't remember being here so its all a great new discovery for me. We spend most of our days swimming in the pool, and I'm having great bonding time with daddy. I also LOVE it when mommy and daddy throw me back and forth in the pool, high in the air and making big splashes.
Needless to say, I'm a busy busy girl so I'm chowing down at meals and taking good naps to get my energy back.
Yesterday mommy and daddy got some kid-free time to go see the men's and women's finals of the BNP Paribas Open here in Indian Wells. They had a great time and really appreciate the babysitting help they got so they could have some fun like the good ol' days (before I came along!)
Friends in All Places
We flew to California last Thursday night and, once again, I proved to be a most excellent traveler. I sat in between mom and dad for 2 hours and didn't make a peep - was content to just read and watch videos on my DVD player. Towards the end of the flight I figured out that a little girl was sitting in front of mommy, and I spent the last 20 minutes of the flight PLASTERED up between our seats trying to talk to her. I loved little Emma, and asked her a hundred questions: "Whatcha doin, Emma?" "Whatcha talkin 'bout, Emma?" "What's that, Emma?". When we finally parted at the airport, I yelled after her "Have a good day, Emma!" - and turned to mommy and said "She's a sweet girl, momma." Needless to say, Mommy's jaw almost hit the floor.

Visitors
I sure did have a busy weekend!!! Daddy's whole side of the family gathered to celebrate Uncle Jon's engagement to my (future) Aunt Quyen. Plus Grandpa Bill and Grandma Kay came in town - which was super fun because I haven't seen them since Christmas. I had SO much fun being loved on by all my family, and I wanted to show off my pictures!

Welcome Taylor Elise
I have a new baby in my life! Much to my delight, I now get to play with a real baby all the time. My bff Ashleigh just got a new baby sister, Taylor Elise. I LOVE holding Taylor and am quite serious and careful whenever I'm holding her. I like to stare at Taylor and talk to her, and my only fault is that sometimes I get a little overexcited and try to hug her too tight. But luckily mommy is there to keep little Taylor safe!
I can't wait for Taylor to grow up and join me and Ashleigh in all our girly adventures!
PS - Thanks to Miss Melissa for the pictures, since our camera is still broken

Picture-less
Mommy's camera has died (from overuse, perhaps?) and we won't have a new one for a few days. So in the meantime, you can stay entertained on my blog by checking out all the new pictures I posted on the right side of the page. You also might get a laugh out of these three short videos mommy took of my first trip to Wendy's. Lets just say I really enjoyed myself!
